January 12th Visit to Congressman Chabot and Senator Portman’s Offices - Press Release

For Immediate Release:

New Political Advocacy Group to Visit with Congressional Offices to Oppose Obamacare Repeal

This Thursday, January 12th, a new political advocacy group, Cincinnati Indivisible, will be visiting the Cincinnati offices of Congressmen Steve Chabot and Senator Rob Portman. The high school students making up this group will be submitting complaints to the aforementioned offices on the subject of the upcoming Obamacare repeal. The students hope to make evident that the citizens of Ohio will suffer if Obamacare is, in fact, repealed by the 115th Congress.

"664,000 Ohioans rely on Obamacare, or the Medicaid expansion that it brought about, for their health insurance," said Morgan Showen, Director and Founder of Cincinnati Indivisible. "Congressmen Chabot and Wenstrup, along with Senator Portman, will have to answer to the citizens of Ohio if they make over half a million of their constituents uninsured with no workable plan to replace the Affordable Care Act."

Cincinnati Indivisible was founded to give high school students in the Cincinnati region a voice in the resistance against the Republican Congress and the Trump administration. They are one of over a thousand nationwide groups founded upon the principles set forth in, "Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting The Trump Agenda."

These visits to congressional offices are just the beginning of Cincinnati Indivisible's work to resist the Trump agenda and many more events are being planned to take place in the near future.

You can contact Cincinnati Indivisible at CincinnatiIndivisible@gmail.com and can follow their movement on their Twitter @CINIndivisible.
